The days have flown by and the puppies are growing. Last week as I was tidying up in the RV, one of the pups decided it was time…and she managed to escape through the door of the whelping pen. I'm not surprised that it was the split-face Sassy girl who was the first born. We knew then that it was time to give them more room.
We moved the whelping box to the barn and set up the puppy play pen so they would have space to roam and play, and nap.
With help from a towel for traction, they quickly learned how to navigate to and from the sections of their new home.
They are now almost four weeks old, and are getting their baby teeth. (Meg is not thrilled!) They have graduated to a bigger feeding dish, and are scarfing up all the softened kibble I give them.
Our grandson, Gage, and his girlfriend, Gabby, came for a visit this weekend. The weather was beautiful, and we had time for a couple of good walks. As an added bonus, Gage and Gabby got a good puppy fix and the pups got some good socialization.
