Bye-Bye Black Hills

When we were getting ready to leave Custer, I was reviewing all my photos from our stay.  I found there were many images I had not shared in previous blog posts…images that recall wonderful times we had and shared with special friends.  Here are some of them:

Fishing trips up the creek in Creek in Custer State Park's Grace Coolidge area …balancing our way over the many plank water crossings…

trying to take photos of the bat that kept flitting back and forth above the third impound…

catching and cleaning slippery, silver rainbow trout…

accompanied by our faithful water-carrier.

Enjoying the Arts and Crafts Festival during the annual Buffalo Roundup.

Having a very special lunch with good friend, Lee Ann McCormick at Blue Bell Lodge.

And spending happy hours with good friends Rick & Linda Lorentz and Dave & Marlene Shaw.

Of course, Jake Shaw was very excited to meet up again with the Bagley Pack.

Seeing the Bison is always a treat, but I was especially grateful when this big guy was hanging out right by the road in Wind Cave National Park as we drove south toward our next destination.

We look forward to coming back next year.
