Family reunions are hard to organize. It’s like herding cats to find a time when everyone can get together. For a number of years, we were able to collect the Cash Cousins and their families and share good times, good food and good stories. It was easier when my parents, Bob and Evelyn Jones, were alive. Mother was the last of the three siblings who produced all of us cousins, and we gathered around her like chicks around a mother hen. (In addition to Mother, now missing are my Uncle Gene Cash, father of Karen, Kathy and Kelly, as well as my Aunt Frankie Atwood, mother of my Cousin Frances.) Here are images of some photo collages I made of our previous get-togethers.
There were fun activities like trying to win a medal for hitting the target with the atlatl Eric brought.
Eric also brought his bow and fire-starting paraphernalia. Gage, Ian and Tisha tried their hands, with Sunny coaching in the proper techniques.
Of course, there was amazing food. John’s chicken and ribs and Allan’s sausage anchored the meal, and there were plenty of desserts and sides to go with. And, plenty of visiting, too.
What great posts and beautiful photos! So sorry we missed the atlatl games. I would have no doubt swept the competition ;). Love y’all!
