Those of you who have been keeping up with our blog know that John fell on Saturday night and broke his left arm at the wrist. Several folks have called or emailed to check on him, and I just wanted to give you an update. Yesterday afternoon, John saw an orthopedic specialist here in Hutchinson, KS, and received a good report on his broken wrist. The bones are well-aligned, and they see no reason to consider surgery, which was our biggest concern. They replaced the splint that was applied last Sunday with a cast, and sent us on our way. John will likely need to have this cast replaced sometime next week when the swelling in his arm goes down. That shouldn’t be a problem, since we expect to be here until a week from Sunday. Thanks for all your prayers and support, we appreciate your concern.
I asked John to show you his new cast (he requested Basic Black) but he declined to be photographed! I'll try again tomorrow.
